Origin:**  
The **Shih Tzu** (pronounced *"sheed-zoo"*) is an ancient breed that dates back over a thousand years. Originally bred in **China**, they were prized companions of Chinese royalty — often seen lounging in palaces and being pampered by emperors.

Appearance:
Shih Tzus are famous for their **luxurious, flowing coat**, **short snout**, and **big, round eyes**. They have a sturdy little body and a **plumed tail** that curls over their back. Their coat comes in a wide variety of colors — gold, white, black, liver, and even combinations.
